In a political brawl that won't go away, the federal opposition has jumped on new Freedom of Information documents that reveal how "enthusiastic" Pfizer was to engage with the Australian government about its COVID-19 vaccine, months before a purchase deal was reached.
The Morrison government has come under unrelenting attack for being too slow to secure a deal with Pfizer last year, resulting in severely restricted supplies of vaccine doses during deadly outbreaks in NSW and Victoria this year.
