TGA cancels second Christmas

With 10 January pencilled into the federal government's diary as the kick off date for a Pfizer vaccine roll out for young children - the TGA will work through Christmas break for the second year in a row to meet the deadline.

The regulator provisionally approved Comirnaty for use in those aged five to 11 yesterday (Sunday) and Health Minister Greg Hunt said although there were three more hoops to jump - ATAGI approval, training for use in paediatric cases and batch testing by the TGA - the government had brought forward the roll out date to 10 January.
