For the second consecutive year, Bayer's eye drug Eylea has retained its position as the most costly drug to government, while two Hep C medicines dropped off the top 10 list.
According to new government data published in Australian Prescriber today (Wednesday), Eylea used to treat eye conditions such as macular degeneration, cost the taxpayer almost $444 million in the last financial year, topping the list of PBS/RPS drugs ranked by cost to government.
