Experts are warning that hybrid workplaces could create "proximity bias" with staff who physically attend the office at greater advantage when it comes to promotion and pay rises than those who work from home.
With the Australian pharma industry embracing hybrid work - and many employees given a choice about whether to work from home or onsite - a study by PwC has identified a "key challenge" for companies - to ensure staff who come into the office are not advantaged over those who are "out of sight, out of mind" in a hybrid teams model.
