New vax headache for AZ

While the federal government and GPs try to shore up crumbling confidence in the AstraZeneca vaccine, controversial Senator Jacqui Lambie has added to the company's woes claiming inadequate indemnity means anyone who suffers an adverse event from the jab is "stuffed"and won't be compensated.

In a caustic tirade at the Senate Select Committee hearing into COVID-19, Lambie let fly at Department of Health Secretary, Professor Brendan Murphy - attacking the government because Australia does not have a no-fault compensation scheme to cover victims.
