AZ vax much safer than pill: PM

Prime Minister Scott Morrison has tried to reassure Australians this morning by saying AstraZeneca's vaccine is still safer than the combined oral contraceptive pill after the EMA confirmed a "possible link" with blood clot cases overnight.

While the EU regulator and WHO say the advantages of the vaccine far outweigh the risk, all people under the age of 30 will be offered alternative vaccines in the UK including Pfizer's Comirnaty.
