Janssen's Covid jab nears

Australia's access to a potential third Covid vaccine appears to be on the horizon after the Office of Gene Technology Regulator (OGTR) concluded Janssen's genetically modified vaccine "poses negligible risk" yesterday (Wednesday).

The Regulator's role is to investigate if there are any risks to human health and the environment posed by the import, transport, storage and disposal of this vaccine, which is currently not approved for commercial supply in any region or country.
