TGA eyes new Covid treatments

The TGA says it is "closely monitoring" developments as Regeneron/Roche and Lilly race to make their Covid antibody treatments available, suggesting either of these companies could become the first in Australia to supply a drug developed specifically against the novel virus.

While antibody drugs have taken a backseat in the public eye to vaccines, these treatments may offer months of protection by mimicking the effects of a natural immune response to infection.
