ACCC ticks meds alliance

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has granted conditional authorisation to allow Medicines Australia (MA) and the Generic and Biosimilar Medicines Association (GBMA) to cooperate in the supply of prescription medicines and other related supplies in response to the Covid pandemic until September 2021.

In response to a draft determination issued three months ago, the ACCC received submissions from several interested parties which were "broadly supportive" of the MA/GBMA Working Group, the final determination states.
