Hundreds of Roche Australia staff are beginning to settle into their new city digs this week as the Swiss pharma giant completes its relocation from from Dee Why to Sydney's CBD.
In what has proved to be a pivotal moment in the company's 75 years of Australian history, almost 300 staff have transitioned to a modern high rise working environment in Millers Point after decades at the company's sprawling northern beaches site.
Roche fitted out three levels of "The Bond" building at 30 Hickson Road for its 288 staff members including commissioning four modern Australian artists to paint brightly-coloured murals on vast stretches of walls.
Calder Consultants managed the office fitout and implemented futuristic workspace concepts to enable staff to embrace the more collaborative working environment.
Roche staff were greeted with a range of work-space options including quiet focus areas, various sized meeting rooms, breakout spaces and social hubs.
Perhaps most impressive is the building's stunning roof-top garden terrace with views across to Darling Harbour and Balmain.
The building has also been fitted out with the latest technology to facilitate better connectivity, collaboration and communication across functions.
"The new CBD location will help Roche create a modern, vibrant and collaborative workspace, and improve accessibility and connectivity with a wide range of stakeholders," a spokesperson said.
