Broad sector praise for MA deal

All the key players in the sector have been positive about the budget, be it because they now have increased certainty or managed to push through key long-term strategic goals.

Medicines Australia, with a new five year strategic agreement in place is now back in a relationship with government, and chairman Wes Cook says it "ends a long period of uncertainty for industry".

"This agreement is a significant step towards creating an environment that encourages growth in the Australian pharmaceutical industry which has been identified as one of the key sectors for our nation's future economic success."
